Why quality matters.

We are in the business of planning livable communities. Does quality of life matter? Of course it does. And so we strive to design places, communities and meeting places where individuals will live more fully and cherish their surroundings.

For inspiration we draw deeply on historical ideas. We'll research the original plats, study century-old blueprints, and review designs that may have been cast away by our more hurried society. Our ideas may come from ancient Rome, Renaissance cities built in the Americas, European cities through the 19th century and the inspired architecture and urbanism of the Florida boom of the 1920's or more recent examples. These we infuse with the practical, the useful, the liveable.

Quality planning is never easy but we feel that time spent with members of the community provides critical perspective. In the real world, quality planning dictates vision and leadership (this is how plans move forward despite competing interests). Our decades-long experience has been useful in preparing us for the work we do today.
